November 8th, 2009 - Congratulations to Gitem Pro Team Member Hojin Chang for a Second Place Finish at the Bassmaster Weekend Series National Championship. It is a very Bitter Sweet day for Hojin who walked to the scales with the winning weight. After several checks at the curtosy board and then was declared to have a short fish insuing a one pound penalty which cost him the victory by a mere 1/4 pound. He not only missed out on the first place cash but also the life long dream we all have of fishing in the Bassmaster Classic. Just the Same we are glad Hojin has Gitem as his plastic of choice.

May 16th, 2009 - The team of Matt Spencer and Garrie Pate won the recent Crossroads Bass Club Tournament of Orange Lake with 22lbs. besting the 25 boat field by more than five pounds. Matt and Garrie worked Gitem Toads and Gitem LiL Flappers in 1 to 2 ft. of water for the win. The team also took big fish honors with a 8.05 largemouth.

May 2nd, 2009 - Gitem Pro Team Member Tom Morse wins the BFL Gator Division Tournament out of Camp Mack. He caught his fish on the Gitem Sugar in Black Blue Silver on the outside edge of the Kissimmee Grass lines. He was also using the new Gitem Stick by Deep South Rods to give us the first win for the rods.

April 18th & 19th, 2009 - Robert Turner and his partner Rick Morris of Central Georgia won 1st place in the DBC G-ville two day tournament with a club record breaking 51.2 pounds and 7.95# Big Bass of the event. They caught their fish using the Gitem Twin Liz and KO. Good Job guys!

April 9th, 2009 - State Team member Jimbo Denton and his partner Mike Crosby win the Citrus County Bass Challenge besting the field of 87 teams. They were fishing with the Gitem Sugar and Bug with their two largest bass weighing in at 71/2 and 81/2 pounds each and a total weight of 23.7. This was Jimbos 2nd win in 3 years and he is setting the standard for that annual event. They pocketed $4,350 for their effort.

March 20, 2009 - John Bartkovich and Mr Gitem Jerry Driskill win the ABC Annual Bass Tournament on the Butler Chain of Lakes. They bested the field with a total Weight 20.48 pounds anchored by a six pounder caught by Johny B his personal biggest. All of the fish were caught on a June Bug Gitem Curly 10 C-rigging and Texas Rigging in open water.

January 31, 2009 - Gitem Pro Team Members fishing the Bassmasters Southern Open in Tavares, Florida on the Harris Chain of Lakes put Gitem Baits on the map in a big way. "The Barefooter" Bryan Hudgins won the event with a final 3 day Total of 68 lbs - 6 oz, in a field which included many of the Elite Series Pros, 10 lbs - 4 oz over his closest competitor. Bryan caught his fish on the Gitem Bug and the Gitem Warlock. His win is a testimate to his dedication and hard work he puts in and is the first Nationally recognized win for Gitem Baits.

Gitem Pro Jimmie Murphy had an 8th Place finish using the Gitem Sugar and the Gitem KO. Gitem Pro Joe Clements finished 25th in the event which put all of the Gitem Pros in the cut for the final day of fishing. For Jimmie and Joe this was their first ever Pro event with the Bassmasters. January 30, 2009 - Gitem Pro Lee McCracken cashed in for $10,000 at the first event of the 2009 FLW Series held out of the famous Roland Martin's Marina on Lake Okeechobee. It was a tough event with a field of who's who big names and ever changing weather conditions.

December 18, 2009 - Nate Bloom and Tom Burke are awarded the Team of the year in the Courtesy Anglers Trail once again edging out a very competitive field. They not only won the points race but also had the heavy weight total and weighed in 54 of a possible 55 fish limit for the season. The club had a special present for Nate at the banquet which was a shirt with a Bulls Eye on the back. They claim Gitem Baits was the difference for their success.

November 22, 2008 - TRITON 20X3 Owner Walter Swafford with his Team Member Hojin Chang, weighed in 19.2 pounds to win 1st Place and $2000.00, including the Big Fish of the Day (5.46). Walter and Hojin made the trip to Lake Kissimmee and used Gitem Baits in 6 feet of water to catch their 5-fish limit.

June 29, 2008 - At the Tennessee Triumph on Old Hickory Lake with the added pressure of being recognized as one of the only four to cash a check in every event this season "The Barefooter" maintained composure to finish in 34th Place and again keep his streak rolling. When we picked Bryan up it was about this time last year when he was on the Northern Swing in the season and he was really confident in the fish he was catching on the Gitem Drop. Let's hope the weather doesn't effect the events as last year.

June 15, 2008 - BASS Elite Series Angler "The Barefooter" Bryan Hudgins gets more than just another check at the Bluegrass Brawl as his streak continues. He also got the well deserved props from the BASS Wrirters who have taken notice of his streak as well. We've known how good Bryan is and now the rest of the World does too. They wrote he is one of only four anglers to have cashed a check in every event of the 2008 season keeping company with only Todd Faircloth, Mike McClelland and the the best in the sport KVD. With only three events left for this season Bryan is confident heading down the stretch at any moment he could have his chance at an Elite Series Title.

May 4, 2008 - Gitem BASS Elite Series Pro Bryan Hudgins finishes the Pride of Georgia Tournament on Clarks Hill Lake in 36th Place once again cashing in for a check for $10,000. With this he is still lurking in Angler of the year standings in 13th at this point.

April 13, 2008 - Gitem BASS Elite Series Pro Bryan Hudgins starts the event parts unknown wearing a Mexican wrestling mask which turned out to be the appropriate attire with the first day of fishing cancelled due to high winds. After the first weigh in it seemed that Bryan might not continue his streak cashing a check at each event with a 75th Position. At the second weigh in he walked off the stage sitting in 25th with a lot of anglers left to weigh in their fish and a good chance he could be pushed out of the money. When it was all done for the day he ended up the bubble boy with a 50th place finish. With the first days cancellation there was no top 50 cut, it goes right to the top 12 for the championship. April 13, 2008 - Brad and Stephen Hall win the West Orange Bass Anglers Classic on West Lake Toho with 23.68 pounds with 1st (6.98) and 2nd (6.38) Big Fish for the event. They were using the Gitem Warlock to catch their fish.

April 13, 2008 - Mel Stone and Andy Cervo win the Xtreme Bass Series Crow's Bluff Division tournament with 17.19 pounds anchored with the Big Fish of the tournament a 5.58 pounder. They were casting the Gitem Warlock and Gitem KO to catch their fish.

April 6, 2008 - Gitem BASS Elite Series Pro Bryan Hudgins has another fine showing at the Lone Star Shootout on Falcon Lake where he earned another $10,000 check for a 33rd Place Finish. There were a lot of SICK weights brought in to the scales breaking most records for the BASS. Bryan caught all his fish on the Gitem Sugar in a new color called Florida Grass and the Gitem Curly 10 in Green Pumpkin. He is excited to be heading to Lake Amastad for the Battle on the Border where it could be another slug fest.

March 30, 2008 - Gitem Pro Team Member Mel Stone wins the Xtreme Bass Series One Man event on the Harris Chain of Lakes March 30, 2008. He weighed in a total weight of 20.33 pounds of just good solid fish. The next four finishers all came in with 8 pound class fish but not the solid ones to go with it. Congrats to him and all the Xtreme Bass Series Money winners on a tough day on the lake.

March 26 - 29, 2008 - Gitem FLW Series Pro John Brazzell cashed in for $10,000 at the Lake Wheeler event in his rookie year of the Trail. He caught the bulk of his fish on the Gitem Warlock. John blames a bad decision on his part of choosing the wrong place to begin the tournament on the first day. As he showed on day 2 and 3 it could have cost him his first win but he left Wheeler with a positive attitude and puts it in his lesson book.Great job John!

March 16, 2008 - Gitem BASS Elite Series Pro Bryan Hudgins continues to have a great start for his 2008 season by finishing 8th in the Elite Series Citrus Slam at Camp Mack Resort on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. This is Gitem Baits first Top Ten finish in the BASS Elite Series. Bryan won the Purolator Big Sack of the day on the 3rd day of the event with 20 pounds 10 ounces. He earned a total of $15,500 at this event.
Gitem Pro Team member Pete Davitto finished 18th in this event on the Co-Angler side and had Purolator Big Bass for day one of the event.

March 16, 2008 - Buck Hill and Bill Travino win their second in a row in the Xtreme Toho Division with a winning weight of 22.46 pounds. Culling errors (releasing a keeper fish before they realized they had to release one of their fish over 22") almost cost them the event but they were able to hold on at the end. Mr Gitem Jerry Driskill and his partner for the day Syd Ropero finished third in the event as well with weight of 21.63 pounds.

February 24, 2008 - Congratulations to Ken Lane for winning the Xtreme One Man Series on West Lake Toho against 77of Floridas top anglers. He weighed in 21.34 pounds and anchored his catch with a 6.79 pounder. He took home a nice trophy and $3,500. January 19th 2008 - Bryan Hudgins gets the first ever Gitem BASS Top Ten Finish Placing 6th in the BASS Southern Open on the St. Johns River in Palatka using the Gitem Bug earning him $10,131. He brought in the 2nd Largest Bag of the tournament and if he had a better first day it could have been even better.

October 2007 - Mike Morgan Wins the Kissimmee / St Cloud Pro Am Co-Angler Title. On the third and final day of this event Mike fished with Gitem Baits Pro Team Member Kevin Ogle (who finished 4th in the event in the Pro Division). Mike said that he had been fishing with a popular competitors brand of a worm and was watching Kevin Catch a nice sack of fish and had no bites. After finally swithching to the Gitem Warlock he immediately started to boat the fish to win the event.

September 22 & 23, 2007 - Jerry Driskill (President of Gitem Baits, Inc.) & Larry (Buck) Hill win the 2007 Xtreme Bass Series Championship in the 150 boat field on West Lake Toho. All of their fish came on the Gitem Warlock. As a competitor in the trail as well as being one of the Banner sponsors this is my proudest moment of my assosiation with any event or any orginization that I have ever participated. The planning and execution of the event by the Staff of the Xtreme Fishing Series went flawlessly. I have never heard so much praise from the members of an orginization or witnessed an intense energy that was surging throughout the crowd. This event truly raised the bar and has created a thirst from the members for more. From the awesome registration dinner to the the $40,000 Ranger Boat package to the $32,000 additional payout of which $5,000 was paid out in ten $500 raffle prizes to anglers that had no fishing luck in the event as well as three $500 raffles from sponsors and many other great Sponsor gift packs including Kistler Rods. The Gitem $500 drawing was won by Ann Elsessor. There is not a more faithful Gitem Customer than Ann. Congrats to her. Never has a Team Trail offered so much for so little. Look for next years schedule coming out soon and plan on participating to qualify for the 2008 Championship.

Xtreme Bass Series - August, 2006 - At the Xtreme Bass Series Championship at Lake Seminole Mike Blocher (Pictured in Middle) announces Gitem Baits as a Banner Sponsor for the 2007 Season.
